Artificial intelligence is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines i.e. intelligent computer programs. Artificial intelligence makes software think intelligently as like humans. It is skilled by analyzing how the human brain thinks and work while solving any problem. It uses the output of this study to develop intelligent software and system.

There is the number of applications of artificial intelligence in the market from Apple’s Siri to Google’s DeepMind. Apple’s Siri uses natural language processing(NLP) to interpret voice commands and response respectively whereas, Google’deep mind applies deep learning. It is efficient of making connections and reaching meanings without depending on any predefined algorithm, instead of learning from experience and using raw data as its input.

Artificial intelligence includes applications as Expert System, Speech recognition, NLP(natural language processing), Computer vision and Robotics. AI is transforming world socially, Economically and politically.

To elevate the customer experience and make it easier, banking and financial sectors use AI applications. Many banks use different applications to detect fraudulent activity. To detect fraudulent and non-fraudulent purchases, a large set of the data sample is given to AI software. The given data sample is trained to determine whether a transaction is valid or invalid based on data.

Many websites have introduced chat functionality on their website, where a user can communicate to a customer support representative or sales representative. This is nothing but some form of automated AI that begins these conversations. AI chatbots are capable of understanding Natural language i.e. human conversation. They can quickly assist customers in finding out what they need to know, extract the required information from the website and directing them to the appropriate web page or person for further support.

• Cyber Security

Cyber attacks have increased frequently, hence more and more sophisticated tools are used to rupture cyber defences, human power is no longer enough. Top firms are investing heavily in cybersecurity, to protect their data from cyber attacks. AI can deliver real-time threat detection, mitigation and prevention for your businesses. Using machine learning algorithms a large amount of data, IT and security experts can teach the Ai solution to monitor behaviour, adapt and respond to threats and issue alerts. AI has become a key component in a business cyber security, infrastructure, providing a multi-layered security strategy that is robust and sophisticated.

Reading blogs and articles has become a common practice for most of us, but we would not believe that most of them are actually written by machines. It is not possible for them to write articles in depth but the simple reports which does not require much analysis can be easily prepared by AI.

• Healthcare

Artificial intelligence has also become very popular in the healthcare industry. It is mainly used by doctors in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment procedures. This reduces the need for multiple machines and equipment. IBM has introduced one application as Watson which is an AI application. This application is designed to suggest different kinds of treatments based on the history of the patient and is proved to be very effective.
